Cambridge (Mass.) Retirement System is searching for an active high-yield fixed-income manager to run about $75 million and two active emerging markets debt managers to run about $20 million each, according to two RFPs posted on the website of investment consultant Segal Marco Advisors, which is assisting with the searches.
For high yield, the $1.6 billion pension fund is seeking a manager to run a commingled fund, and for emerging markets debt, the pension fund is seeking two managers, one to run a hard currency commingled fund, and the other to run a local currency commingled fund.
The RFPs do not disclose the names of the current managers or whether they are eligible to rebid. According to the pension fund's most recent investment report, Loomis Sayles & Co. is the current high-yield manager, and Fidelity Institutional Asset Management and Wellington Management are the current emerging markets debt managers.
The high yield RFI and the emerging markets RFI are both available on Segal Marco Advisors' website. Proposals for both searches are due at 3 p.m. EDT on April 27.
