ScholarShare Investment Board, Sacramento, Calif., is searching for a program manager for the state's $11.4 billion 529 plan.
The board has launched a search because current program manager TIAA-CREF's contract will expire in November, said Julio Martinez, executive director. The firm is eligible to rebid, he said.
The plan currently offers 19 investment options.
The RFP is available on the California state treasurer's website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. PDT on June 10. A selection is scheduled for July 8.
Julio Martinez, executive director, could not be immediately reached for further information.
