Burlington (Vt.) Employees' Retirement System hired DiMeo Schneider & Associates as investment consultant.
The $202 million pension fund issued an RFP in September because of a city requirement that services are put up for bid every few years. The other finalists were current consultant Dahab Associates and AndCo Consulting, said Arthur J. Meizner, director, investment consulting, at Hooker & Holcombe Investment Advisors, which assisted with the search.
As of July 1, the actual allocation was 31.4% domestic large-cap equities, 20.2% core fixed income, 18.5% domestic smidcap equities, 10% emerging markets equities, 9.9% international equities, 7.6% real estate, 1.4% timber and 1% private equity.
