Brunel Pension Partnership, Bristol, England, is searching for two to five global equity managers with a sustainable investing focus, the £30 billion ($37 billion) pool of U.K. local authority pension funds said on its website Tuesday.
The portfolio size will initially be between £1 billion and £1.5 billion and will be managed by the chosen firms.
"We will be looking for a truly global approach to sustainable investing that embraces the vision of sustainable economic growth that supports a thriving environment and society," said Faith Ward, chief responsible investment officer, in a news release.
CIO Mark Mansley added in the news release: "The portfolio aims to generate excellent long-term financial returns by investing in companies that are able to clearly demonstrate that sustainability is at the core of what they do."
Proposals are due at 11 a.m. British Summer Time on Oct. 11. Candidates should email the fund to apply. A hiring decision is expected in the second quarter of 2020.
