Brunel Pension Partnership, Bristol, England, hired Genesis Investment Management, Investec Asset Management and Wellington Management to run a total of £1 billion ($1.3 billion) in active emerging markets equities.
Genesis will run £400 million, while Investec and Wellington will run £300 million each, a spokeswoman said.
The £30 billion ($38.5 billion) pool of local government pension funds launched a search in January for three or four managers to run £200 million to £500 million each.
