Bristol (Conn.) Retirement System approved commitments and investments totaling $98 million.
The pension fund's board on Dec. 12 approved a commitment of $30 million to Longford Capital Fund III, a private equity fund focused on investments in commercial litigation finance managed by Longford Capital Management, recently released minutes show.
The board also on Nov. 14 approved $17 million each for direct investments in hedge funds managed by EnTrust Global, Greywolf Capital Management, Kelly Park Capital and Veritas Capital Fund Management.
A current asset size for the pension fund could not be immediately learned. According to the most recent available actuarial valuation, the pension fund had $215 million in assets as of July 1, 2017.
