Boston Retirement System is looking for emerging markets equities managers to run $370 million.
NEPC, the $5.3 billion pension fund's investment consultant, is assisting with the search.
The pension fund currently has four managers running the mandate: Vontobel Asset Management, Polunin Capital Partners, State Street Global Advisors and Lazard Asset Management. All are welcome to rebid.
The proposed strategies must have at least a five-year track record and a minimum of $500 million in assets under management to be considered. Small-cap emerging markets strategies will also be considered.
The RFP is available on NEPC's website. Proposals are due 2 p.m. EDT Sept. 29. A selection date was not disclosed.
John Kelly, investment analyst for the retirement system, could not be immediately reached for additional information.
