Boston Retirement System is looking to commit $30 million to infrastructure.
The $7 billion pension fund is seeking proposals from managers of closed-end private infrastructure funds, according to an RFP on the website of investment consultant NEPC, which is assisting with the search.
The RFP did not disclose the reason for the search. As of June 30, the pension fund did not have an infrastructure asset class, according to the pension fund’s most recent available investment report.
John Kelly, the pension fund’s investment analyst, could not be immediately reached for further information.
The RFP is available on NEPC’s website. Proposals are due by 3 p.m. EST on Nov. 6. A timeline for a selection was not provided.
