Boston Retirement System voted to commit $60 million to three alternatives funds, confirmed John Kelly, investment analyst for the $6 billion pension fund, in an email.
Two of the commitments were to value-added real estate funds: $40 million to TerraCap Partners V, managed by TerraCap Management, and $10 million to Mesirow Financial Real Estate Value Fund IV.
The board also agreed to commit $10 million to Venture Lending & Leasing X, a private debt fund managed by Western Technology Investment.
The commitments were made at the board's meeting Wednesday.
NEPC, the plan's investment consultant, advised the board on these fund commitments.
