Baltimore City Employees' Retirement System made two new commitments totaling $50 million.
The $2 billion pension fund's board approved commitments of $30 million to Vitruvian Investment Partnership V, a buyout fund managed by Vitruvian Partners, and $20 million to value-added real estate fund Artemis Real Estate Partners Fund IV at its Nov. 17 meeting, spokeswoman Aja Jackson said in an email.
They are BCERS' first commitments to both managers.
As of June 30, the pension fund's actual allocations to private equity and closed real estate were 17.2% and 0.8%, respectively; their respective targets are 15% and 2%.
