Baltimore City Employees' Retirement System committed $30 million to Vistria Fund V.
The $2.1 billion pension fund's board approved the commitment to the middle-market buyout fund managed by Vistria Group at its Jan. 19 meeting, spokeswoman Aja Jackson said in an email.
It is the pension fund's first commitment to Vistria Group.
As of Jan. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to private equity was 17.7%; the target is 15%.
Investment consultant Marquette Associates assisted.
