Baltimore City Employees' Retirement System committed $20 million to Basis Investment Group Fund II.
The $2 billion pension fund's board approved the commitment to the real estate debt fund at its March 18 meeting, spokeswoman Aja Dorsey Jackson said in an email.
The pension fund previously committed $20 million to Basis Investment Group Fund I in 2019.
As of Feb. 28, the actual allocation to private equity was 9.2%; the target is 13%.
Investment consultant Marquette Associates assisted.
