Balchem Corp., New Hampton, N.Y., added five passive investment options managed by Fidelity Investments and one new active equity option to its 401(k) plan in 2018, the company disclosed in an 11-K filing with the SEC on Tuesday.
The plan added the Fidelity Total Market Index Fund, which had $9 million in assets in the plan as of Dec. 31, according to the filing; Fidelity Small Cap Index fund, which had $4 million; Fidelity Total International Index Fund, $3 million; Fidelity U.S. Bond Index Fund, $3 million; and Fidelity Mid Cap Index Fund, $2 million.
The plan also added the Carillon Eagle Mid Cap Growth Fund, an active domestic midcap growth equity fund managed by Carillon Tower Advisors and subadvised by Eagle Asset Management. That fund had $3 million in assets in the plan as of Dec. 31, according to the filing.
Also during 2018, the plan removed four passive investment options managed by Vanguard Group: Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund, which had $9 million in assets in the plan as of Dec. 31, 2017, according to the company's previous 11-K filing; Vanguard Total Bond Index Fund, which had $3 million as of that date; Vanguard Total Stock Index Fund Admiral shares, $3 million; and Vanguard Selected Value Fund, $2 million.
Also during 2018, the plan removed the Artisan Mid Cap Fund, an active domestic midcap growth equity fund managed by Artisan Partners; Goldman Sachs Small Cap Value fund, an active domestic small-cap value equity fund managed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management; and Touchstone Small Company Fund, an active domestic small-cap growth equity fund managed by Touchstone Investments and subadvised by Fort Washington Investment Advisors. As of Dec. 31, 2017, those funds had $3 million, $1 million and $3 million, respectively, in assets in the plan.
The reason for the changes was not provided.
As of Dec. 31, the Balchem Corp. 401(k) Plan had $90 million in assets and 13 investment options, according to the new 11-K filing.
