Auburn, N.Y., hired Empower Retirement as record keeper of its $24 million 457 plan.
The city council approved the hiring at its July 20 meeting, recently released meeting minutes show.
The city issued an RFP in February due to the pending expiration of the contract of incumbent record keeper MissionSquare Retirement, according to the minutes. The minutes said there were a total of five finalists, but did not disclose the names of those finalist firms.
