Arkansas Teacher Retirement System, Little Rock, committed up to $30 million to Alpine Investors VIII.
The $20.2 billion pension fund's board approved the commitment to the buyout fund at its July 14 meeting, said Rod Graves, deputy director, in an email.
As of March 31, the actual allocation to private equity was 12.5%; the target is 12%.
