Anthem Inc., Indianapolis, hired Fidelity Investments as record keeper of its 401(k) plan.
Fidelity will replace Vanguard Group as the plan's record keeper, effective Oct. 1, according to the company's 11-K filing with the SEC on June 29.
The filing did not provide a reason for the change.
As of Dec. 31, the Anthem 401(k) Plan had $9.9 billion in assets, according to the 11-K filing.
Anthem spokeswoman Leslie Porras and Michelle Vanstory could not be immediately reached for further information.
