Anne Arundel County Retirement and Pension System, Annapolis, Md., committed $40 million to Dover Street XI.
The $2.1 billion pension fund's board approved the commitment to the secondary private equity fund managed by HarbourVest Partners at its July 18 meeting, recently released board meeting minutes show.
There is no record of any prior commitments by the pension fund to HarbourVest.
Investment consultant NEPC assisted.
Anne Budowski, the county's chief personnel officer and member of the pension fund's board of trustees, could not be immediately reached for further information.
