Alexandria, Va., is searching for an active international small-cap equity manager for the $400 million Alexandria Firefighters and Police Officers Pension Plan and $175 million Alexandria Supplemental Retirement Plan.
It is a new allocation for the pension funds, said Kevin Condy, director of research at investment consultant Dahab Associates, in an email. Funding will come from reductions in the portfolios of other international equity managers, Mr. Condy said. He did not provide portfolio amounts.
Kadira Coley, the city's retirement administrator, could not be immediately reached for further information.
Dahab Associates is assisting with the search and has invited potential managers to respond to an existing RFP for similar services for the $139 million St. Louis Firefighters' Retirement Plan. Proposals for the Alexandria pension funds are due at 5 p.m. EDT on May 12. A timeline for a selection has yet to be determined.
