Alabama State Treasurer's Office, Montgomery, is searching for a fixed-income manager for its $243 million 529 plan.
The office issued an RFP due to the upcoming expiration of current manager Regions Investment Management's contract Sept. 30, said Anita Kelley, director of college savings, in an email. The firm is eligible to rebid, Ms. Kelley said.
Alabama's Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Program, is 100% allocated to core fixed income.
The RFP is available on the office's website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. CDT on May 12. Ms. Kelley said the office hopes to make a selection later in May.
