The Illinois Firefighters’ Pension Investment Fund (FPIF) is soliciting proposals from investment consulting firms and discretionary OCIO managers to advise upon FPIF’s private markets portfolio. FPIF manages $7.5 billion in defined benefit assets and is constructing a new private markets program with target allocations of 10% to private equity, 7% to private debt, 10% to real estate, and 4% to infrastructure. Specialist OCIOs will be considered for the non-core portion of each asset class, while non-discretionary consulting firms will be considered for the remainder.
