Tony Greene was named president of NFP's executive benefits division, the firm announced in a news release Jan. 9.
Greene started his new role Jan. 1. He succeeds Joe Carpenter, a 30-year company veteran who has taken on an emeritus role that allows him to remain actively engaged in the business.
In his new role, Greene will be responsible for driving the next phase of growth for the division by designing and implementing programs that help organizations attract and retain top talent, an NFP spokesperson said.
Non-qualified deferred compensation plans, or supplemental retirement savings plans for senior-level executives who have maxed out their contributions to their defined contribution plans, account for slightly more than half of NFP's executive benefits plans, the spokesman said.
Greene, who joined NFP in 2012, previously led the insurance broker's business development efforts within the executive benefits division.
