Kim Farrant will join HESTA, Melbourne, as general manager of responsible investment, effective July 12.
The position, reporting to HESTA's head of impact, Mary Delahunty, is new, a HESTA spokesman said. HESTA manages more than A$60 billion ($45.5 billion) in retirement assets for roughly 880,000 participants, with a focus on health-care workers.
Ms. Farrant was head of ESG at Melbourne-based Hostplus, which manages A$47.8 billion in retirement assets for more than 1.2 million participants.
A spokesman for Hostplus confirmed Ms. Farrant's departure and said an active search to fill her head of ESG role is underway.
