Charles Woodhouse, deputy chief investment officer and head of funds management with QSuper Ltd., will become CIO of the Brisbane-based fund when current CIO Brad Holzberger retires in September.
No decision has been made yet on a replacement for Mr. Woodhouse, a spokesman said.
In October 2018, Mr. Holzberger announced his intention to step down from QSuper, which manages A$91 billion ($63.9 billion) for 580,000 members, at the end of September.
A QSuper news release Tuesday said Mr. Woodhouse was selected following a global search to replace Mr. Holzberger.
In his current role as head of funds management, Mr. Woodhouse is "directly responsible for QSuper's invest in infrastructure, real estate and private equity, as well as QSuper's mandates with external investment managers, for a combined total of A$55 billion," the news release said.
