Forrest Wilson has been named executive vice president and chief retirement services officer at Alerus Financial, a commercial/wealth bank and national retirement services provider, effective Feb. 26.
It is a new position, a spokesperson said.
Wilson will be responsible for the "overall leadership and direction of Alerus' retirement and benefits division, which serves thousands of third-party advisers, over 8,000 employer-sponsored retirement plans, and approximately 474,000 plan participants nationwide," said a news release Feb. 22.
Wilson most recently was senior vice president of retirement plans sales and distribution at Ameritas Mutual Holding. “Ameritas has done a small organizational redesign and some of Forrest’s direct reports will now report to (executive vice president-retirement plans) Jim Kais for the foreseeable future,” an Ameritas spokesperson said. “Ameritas is not backfilling the role.”
