Samir Tejpaul has joined Madison Realty Capital as a managing director and head of capital markets.
Tejpaul started in the role on April 1 in New York and reports to co-founders Brian Shatz and Josh Zegen. It’s a newly created role for Madison Realty, a real estate private equity firm focused on real estate private credit.
Tejpaul will focus on deepening the firm’s relationships with global institutional investors and expanding its business development of private credit products and capital markets, according to a news release.
Tejpaul joins from Affinius Capital, previously known as Square Mile Capital, where he served as a managing director and head of credit capital markets and specialty asset finance. Prior to that, Tejpaul was a vice president in Deutsche Bank’s commercial real estate group.
Affinius did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding Tejpaul's replacement.
Madison Realty and its controlled affiliates had $19.4 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
