Greg O'Brien was named global CEO markets at real estate consulting firm Jones Lang LaSalle, effective Jan. 1, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The position is new. Mr. O'Brien, who currently serves as Americas CEO, will oversee all regional and local markets operations. He will be replaced by John Gates in that role. Mr. Gates was named CEO Americas markets.
Also, Guy Grainger, the firm's CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, was named global head of sustainability services and environmental social and governance. The position is new. Mr. Grainger will focus on expanding the firm's sustainability services capability, reporting to Neil Murray, a global executive board member.
Andy Poppink, who was leading the U.S. West region, was named Mr. Grainger's successor as EMEA CEO. He will be based in London. Messrs. Gates and Poppink will report to Mr. O'Brien.
"These appointments will complete the transformation program which we began implementing in January 2019," said Christian Ulbrich, CEO of the firm, in a news release Tuesday. "Leveraging substantial multiyear investments in our platform and technology, we are further enhancing the seamless global integration of our services and expertise. That's something our clients identify as a key benefit in working with JLL, particularly during the ongoing pandemic where our ability to quickly adapt and deploy products and services is vital."
