Adriana de Alcantara was named senior managing director, fund management, Americas, at real estate investment manager Hines.
It is a newly created position, said Carrie L. Martin, Hines spokeswoman. Ms. de Alcantara reports to Alfonso Munk, chief investment officer, Americas.
In the role, she will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for new funds as well as supporting various investment initiatives in the Americas, according to the news release.
Ms. de Alcantara was previously managing director, senior portfolio manager at Nuveen, where she was lead portfolio manager for open-end core fund TIAA-CREF Real Property Fund.
Hines has about $124.3 billion in assets under management.
TIAA spokeswoman Leslie Sepuka could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
