Jason Kern was named president of investment management at real estate firm Cortland.
It is a new position, a spokeswoman said in an email. He reports to Cortland CEO Steven DeFrancis.
In addition to the firm's investment management team, he will oversee the firm's capital markets, corporate finance and investor relations teams.
Mr. Kern was previously Americas CEO at real estate money manager LaSalle Investment Management. He stepped down in March 2021 and was replaced by Kristy Heuberger and Brad Gries, who took the titles of co-heads of the Americas.
The Cortland spokeswoman could not be immediately reached for further information.
