John Carrafiell was named co-CEO of BentallGreenOak, a spokeswoman confirmed in an email.
Effective Thursday, he joins Sonny Kalsi as co-CEO of the real estate manager. Mr. Kalsi had been sole CEO.
Mr. Carrafiell will also be a member of the firm's board and global executive team, along with Mr. Kalsi and BGO President Amy Price.
Mr. Carrafiell co-founded GreenOak Real Estate in 2010. After GreenOak and Bentall Kennedy merged in July 2019 to form BentallGreenOak, he was senior managing partner, overseeing the firm's European business. He will continue to retain these responsibilities.
BentallGreenOak had $62 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
