Craig Solomon, former CEO of real estate firm Square Mile, has been named to the new position of CIO and vice chairman of real estate manager Affinius, said Gordon Goldstein, spokesman in an email.
Affinius is the new name for USAA Real Estate which acquired the balance of Square Mile in 2021. At the time of that acquisition, Mr. Solomon assumed an ownership interest in the combined USAA Real Estate-Square Mile business and was appointed to USAA Real Estate's board of directors.
Len O'Donnell will remain CEO and chairman of Affinius. USAA Real Estate had been an affiliate of USAA until 2020 when Mr. O'Donnell and a group of investors bought a controlling interest in the company.
USAA continues to be a client, an investment partner and partner in Affinius.
