Shelby Wanstrath will join Vista Equity Partners in August as a managing director, corporate growth initiatives, a news release said.
It is a new position. Ms. Wanstrath will be based in Austin, Texas, and will focus on new product development, strategic partnerships and fund management programs, among other initiatives at the private equity firm. She will report to David A. Breach, a senior managing director, chief operating officer and chief legal officer.
"Shelby is a strategic and creative leader who brings a wealth of experience to Vista," Mr. Breach said in the news release.
Ms. Wanstrath was a director and co-head of funds on the private equity team at the $179.9 billion Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin. TRS spokesman Rob Maxwell said Ms. Wanstrath worked at the pension fund from Aug. 1, 2014, through June 22. Scott Ramsower is a director and head of private equity funds at TRS, Mr. Maxwell said.
