Margaret Lui will retire as chief executive officer at Azalea Investment Management on March 31 and be succeeded by Chief Investment Officer Chue En Yaw, the $11 billion private equity fund manager said in a statement on Jan. 16.
After her retirement, Lui will serve as an adviser to the firm and retain a position on the investment committees for the existing private equity funds, the statement said. She has spent four decades with the Temasek group.
Azalea is a wholly owned subsidiary of asset management group Seviora Holdings, which is owned by Singapore state investment firm Temasek, which had S$389 billion ($283.6 billion) in assets as of March 31.
Chue will start in his role on April 1. He has been with Azalea since 2018 where he helped develop the Altrium private equity platform to give accredited investors access to global private equity funds.
The year 2025 also marks Azalea’s 10th anniversary, the statement said.
