Providence Equity Partners has closed its fourth buyout fund, Providence Strategic Growth IV, with $2 billion in capital commitments, hitting its hard cap.
Providence Strategic Growth announced it has invested in four companies through PSG IV to date: Validity, a customer data management provider; GlobalTranz, a technology and third-party logistics firm; Chatmeter, a brand management software provider; and an undisclosed software platform that "facilitates the transportation of passengers, goods and workers," according to a news release.
Investors in the fund include the $122.2 billion State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Madison; $74.8 billion Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board, Boston; $31.9 billion South Carolina Retirement System, Columbia; and $15 billion Los Angeles Water & Power Employees' Retirement Plan.
