Katie Lyndon has joined private equity firm Providence Equity Partners in the new position of head of investor relations, a Wednesday news release said.
Based in New York, Ms. Lyndon will also set Providence's fundraising strategy and oversee its investor relations activities worldwide.
Providence Equity executives declined to comment beyond the release including providing the firm's current assets under management.
Ms. Lyndon had been head of capital partnerships for North America at Hillhouse Capital Management, an Asia-focused private equity firm.
She was replaced at Hillhouse by Karim Hassanali, who joined the firm in July from Goldman Sachs & Co, where he had been a vice president, a Hillhouse spokesman said in an email.
