One Rock Capital Partners held a final close of its third middle-market buyout fund, One Rock Capital Partners III, at its $2 billion hard cap, a spokesman said in an email.
The latest fund is more than twice the size of its predecessor, the $964 million One Rock Capital Partners II.
One Rock makes control investments in companies in sectors, including manufacturing, chemicals, business services and auto retail.
Investors in the new fund include the $247.7 billion New York State Common Retirement Fund, Albany; $65.4 billion Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association, Pasadena, Calif.; $40 billion Connecticut Retirement Plans & Trust Funds, Hartford; $31.5 billion Texas Municipal Retirement System, Austin; $27.8 billion Los Angeles Fire & Police Pensions; $10 billion District of Columbia Retirement Board; and $3.1 billion Baltimore City Fire & Police Employees' Retirement System.
