Odyssey Investment Partners closed its latest middle market buyout fund, Odyssey Investment Partners Fund VI, at its $3.25 billion hard cap, said spokesman Mark Semer in an email.
The fund was oversubscribed. It is 63% larger than Odyssey's prior fund, which closed with $2 billion in total capital commitments in 2014.
At the same time, Odyssey promoted executives Jeffrey McKibben and Craig Staub to senior managing principals from managing principals, and Jason Cowett, Jonathan Place and Jeff Moffett to managing principals from principals.
Investors in the latest fund include the $16.4 billion Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, Columbus, and $8.5 billion District of Columbia Retirement Board.
