Ryan Levitt joined private equity firm Intermediate Capital Group as a managing director.
It is a new position, said spokesman Harry Rokison in an email. Mr. Levitt is responsible for expanding ICG's private equity business into North America.
Intermediate currently manages a $1 billion publicly traded private equity vehicle, ICG Enterprise Trust, which is a part of the FTSE 250 index. Mr. Levitt works with Oliver Gardey, head of private equity investments, and Colm Walsh, managing director and portfolio manager of ICG Enterprise Trust.
Mr. Levitt had been a managing director at lower-middle-market private equity firm Drum Capital Management. Christopher Ayala, Drump Capital managing director, said Mr. Levitt will not be replaced.
