EQT Partners closed its latest fund, EQT IX, at €15.6 billion ($18.7 billion), ahead of its €14.8 billion target, a spokesman said.
The private equity fund invests in Europe and the U.S., focusing on health care, technology, media, telecom and industrial technology.
EQT said Thursday that the fund's investors included pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, money managers and high-net-worth individuals from Europe, Asia, North America and the Middle East.
Investors in the fund included the $10.9 billion Chicago Public School Teachers' Pension & Retirement Fund, Chicago, according to its website.
Predecessor fund EQT VIII closed at €10.8 billion in 2018.
