Ophir Shmuel joined private capital placement and fund advisory firm Eaton Partners as a managing director and co-head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The position is new, a spokesman said.
Based in London, Mr. Shmuel works with Steven D. Eaton, co-head of EMEA.
"Ophir's background in private equity is a great complement to our strengths in private credit and real assets in Europe, and we are confident he can be immediately impactful to our origination and distribution efforts as we look to bring on several additional funds for 2021," said Jeffrey J. Eaton, partner, in a news release.
Mr. Shmuel led the EMEA business at European private equity placement firm MVision, the news release said. Spokesmen could not be reached for comment.
Separately, Eaton also named Anand Tanna as a director focusing on the Middle East, also based in London. The position is new.
Mr. Tanna was a vice president and senior placement manager at Greenstone Equity Partners. Spokesmen could not be reached for comment.
