Jeff Nedelman is leaving Certares Management to join Carlyle Group as global head of distribution, effective Oct. 16.
At Carlyle, the New York-based Nedelman will lead the global investor relations team and will oversee global distribution across Carlyle's three business segments, with a focus on both the institutional and private wealth channels, said an Oct. 2 news release.
He is currently at investment firm Certares Management, where he serves as a partner and senior managing director.
Dave McCann was previously global head of investor relations, a Carlyle spokesperson said. McCann remains at the firm and will become global head of investor partnerships, working with relationship managers and products teams, the spokesperson added.
Prior to Certares, Nedelman spent more than 25 years at Goldman Sachs, most recently as co-chief operating officer of global equities.
Certares could not be immediately reached for further details.
Carlyle had $385 billion in assets under management as of June 30.
