Arsenal Capital Partners raised a total of $5.4 billion in two industrial and health-care private equity funds and their sidecar funds, according to a news release.
Arsenal Capital Partners VI, a buyout fund, held a final close on a combined $4.3 billion including parallel funds; Arsenal Capital Partners Growth along with parallel funds closed with a total of $1.1 billion.
Arsenal's buyout fund, which had a $3 billion target, exceeded its predecessor fund, the $2.4 billion Arsenal Capital Partners V, which closed in 2019.
Investors in the funds include the $459.4 billion California Public Employees' Retirement System, Sacramento; the $95.2 billion Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund, Tigard; and the $94.1 billion Minnesota State Board of Investment, St. Paul.
