Senior partners Matt Nord and David Sambur of Apollo Global Management have been promoted to co-lead partners of private equity, reporting to Scott Kleinman, co-president, according to news release. They replace Mr. Kleinman, who had been lead partner of Apollo's private equity business, Apollo's website shows.
Mr. Nord joined Apollo Private Equity in 2003 while Mr. Sambur joined in 2004.
At the same time, Senior Partners Olivia Wassenaar and Geoff Strong have been promoted to co-lead Apollo's natural resources business. Ms. Wassenaar joined Apollo 15 years ago; Mr. Strong joined Apollo in 2012. Both will report to Mr. Kleinman. The positions are new.
Also, Dylan Foo is joining Apollo as a senior partner and co-lead of Apollo's infrastructure business, reporting to Mr. Kleinman and James Zelter, co-president and CIO of Apollo's credit business. He replaces Greg Beard, a senior partner and global head of natural resources of Apollo who will be transitioning to a role as a senior adviser to Apollo through mid-2020.

Mr. Foo had been a partner and head of Americas infrastructure equity at AMP Capital. Simon Ellis, a partner at AMP Capital, has been promoted to head of Americas for infrastructure equity at AMP Capital, replacing Mr. Foo, according to a written statement from AMP Capital. Mr Ellis has worked at AMP Capital for nine years and was most recently responsible for overseeing global origination.
"Mr Foo has spent 13 years at AMP Capital. We congratulate him on his achievements during this time, and thank him for his contribution to the global expansion of our infrastructure business," the AMP written statement says.
