Brant Wong, a former J.P. Morgan executive, will join Principal Asset Management as head of retirement solutions, Principal announced in a news release February 27.
He will lead the expansion of the company’s retirement investment franchise to meet the evolving needs of plan sponsors and participants, the company said.
The position is new.
Brant starts his new role on April 28 and will report to Kamal Bhatia, who leads Principal’s asset management business, a spokeswoman for Principal said.
Brant was previously with J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he was head of retirement strategy, platforms and national accounts for 23 years.
“We thank Brant for his many contributions here at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and wish him the best in his new role,” a company spokeswoman said in an email.
J.P. Morgan declined to say whether it had found a replacement for Brant.
