Zoe Alexander has been appointed director of policy and advocacy at Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association beginning on Nov. 4, according to a news release.
Alexander will succeed Nigel Peaple, who will serve on an interim basis before stepping down Aug. 31. Peaple will become PLSA's first chief policy counsel, a newly created role that was announced in early May.
“I am thrilled to be joining the PLSA at such a pivotal moment for pensions policy,” Alexander said in the news release. “A new government creates space for innovative, long-term policymaking that has the potential to really shift the dial for pension savers.”
Alexander is currently director of strategy and corporate affairs at NEST, chairs the PLSA’s master trust committee and sits on its policy board. Ian Cornelius, Nest’s CEO said: “We’d like to congratulate Zoe on her appointment as director of policy and advocacy at the PLSA. She has made a fantastic contribution to NEST and the future shape of the director of strategy and corporate affairs role at NEST is something we will carefully consider.”
PLSA is a trade association with more than 30 million participants and invests more than £1.3 trillion ($1.7 trillion) in the U.K. and abroad.
