Jo Carter has joined XPS Pensions Group, London, as a partner in its risk settlement team, the pension consultant said in a news release Wednesday.
The position is new, a spokesman said.
In addition, Stephen Purves was recently named head of risk settlement and is overseeing XPS Pensions' presence in the market, the spokesman said.
Ms. Carter will lead buy-in and buyout transactions, and help clients with strategic planning.
Ms. Carter spent 25 years with Mercer, as a derisking/bulk annuity pensions adviser. In May, Mercer appointed Nikhil Patel as a senior principal to its risk transfer team, a Mercer spokesman said.
