Stefan Beiner, deputy director and head of asset management at PUBLICA, one of Switzerland's largest pension funds, will step down after 16 years with the plan.
Benier will join Swiss consultant c-alm as a partner on March 1, according to a statement provided by a spokesperson. A recruitment process for a successor is underway.
Beiner joined PUBLICA as a portfolio manager in November 2008 and was appointed head of asset management in 2013. He has been deputy director since 2014.
PUBLICA is comprised of 12 pension funds and responsible for more than 68,000 active participants. It had 40.5 billion Swiss francs ($46.8 billion) in assets as of Dec. 31.
