Anna Hammer was appointed as chief investment officer at AP2, Gothenburg, Sweden.
Hammer succeeds Erik Klevang Callert, who has been in the role since 2022. He will join insurance group SEB Trygg Liv as CEO.
Hammer will start as CIO in the spring, a news release said.
“Anna has a deep and broad knowledge experience from investment, macroeconomics and leadership,” Eva Halvarsson, CEO, said in the release. “She is an appreciated and communicative leader and has a strong commitment to AP2’s important mission. I am convinced that Anna is the right person to continue the development of our asset management.”
AP2 had 445.8 billion Swedish kroner ($42 billion) in assets as of June 30.
Hammer is CIO at financial services group Lansforsakringar Liv. A spokesperson could not immediately be reached for comment.
