Susan Kane was named executive director of the St. Louis Public School Retirement System.
The $786 million pension fund's board approved the hiring of Ms. Kane at its Aug. 27 meeting, according to a newsletter posted on the pension fund's website.
She will replace Andrew Clark, who is retiring Oct. 1. She will join the pension fund later in September to ensure a smooth transition, the newsletter said.
Ms. Kane has previously worked with St. Louis County "in a similar capacity," the newsletter said. Further information was not immediately available.
