Annelie Helsing was appointed CEO of Svensk Handel Pensionskassan, Stockholm.
Ms. Helsing replaces Lena Schelin, who was acting CEO since November, a spokeswoman said. Ms. Schelin is a member of the pension fund board. She was appointed to the position following the departure of CEO Stefan Eliasson.
The 6.03 billion Swedish kronor ($640.7 million) pension fund began searching for a new CEO in January.
"This company's high ambitions and its drive are things that I want to maintain and make the most of," Ms. Helsing said in a news release.
Ms. Helsing was head of sales and marketing at retirement services firm PRI Pensionsgaranti, Stockholm, the release said. Spokesmen could not be reached for comment.
