Sarasota (Fla.) Firefighters' Pension Fund will interview Brown Advisory, ClearBridge Investments and Polen Capital Management as finalists to run about $12 million in active domestic large-cap growth equities.
The $152 million pension fund conducted a shortlist search and selected the managers to make presentations at its Aug. 26 board meeting, a webcast of the July 22 board meeting shows.
The current manager for the portfolio is Renaissance Investment Management. The reason for the search was not provided. Sawgrass Asset Management is the pension fund's other active domestic large-cap growth equity manager, running about $23 million.
As of June 30, the actual allocation to domestic equities was 50.5%.
Investment consultant Graystone Consulting is assisting.
